The first PR is a port which I made - and in my opinion the best one; it has more config switches (SMP build, dedicated server only, optional optimized CFLAGS, debugging). It would also be better (in my opinion) because it uses the Makefile instead of the Cons script, which removes the dependency on Perl. The Makefile also has less hardcoded strings, like 'gcc' and such. Could we (maybe) merge these three PR's into one or cross-reference them or something (at least update the summary line of 84853)?
