I don't know what response the SCSI tape driver is returning. It seems that the install program tries to access the tape drive, fails, and decides that an installation tape is not present. I would prefer not to make everyone wait longer, thus I suggested that maybe an extra time delay could be added to the start of the install program. Your suggestion sounds good; I just don't know if there is enough time to implement and test it prior to releasing 4.0.
