Well, I'm a little familiar with HACMP, and my impression was that it managed redundant machines and disks for failovers. Well, if you want a description of HACMP, you might check out IBM websites, and also see if you can find websites for CLAM Associates, the folks who wrote HACMP in the first place, and are still quite involved in it, if not doing most of the development work. -Dave
