I've noted a lot of messages regarding ATA100 controllers. Many of them mention the controllers made by Promise. I cannot, however, find any mention of the Maxtor Ultra ATA/100 PCI card. For compatibility/configuration purposes with FreeBSD, are they basically the same thing? That is, will the advice in messages regarding Promise controllers apply to Maxtor's PCI card?
