Run /stand/sysinstall, and choose Configure and then Networking, and make sure that the sendmail box is checked. Then, you'll need an email client, so cd /usr/ports/mail/pine4 and type "make" and (when that gets done) "make install". Then use the adduser command or /stand/sysinstall to add more users. Hopefully that should work. If you get errors, email me back. By the way, did you check out deja.com DISCUSSIONS before you posted this? It probably has the answer to your question also. >From: "Ryan D" >To: questions@freebsd.org >Subject: Sendmail (newbie needs help!) >Date: Mon, 17 Jul 2000 18:57:17 PDT > >I just signed up to the list and need some help setting up my server. > >I have the server running fine, networking works great but I need to get >sendmail running and don't know where to start... >Again, I'm a linux newbie so don't skimp on the exact commands to do stuff >or exact locations to find files. > >First, I can't find sendmail.
