Anyway, in order to get it to compile and kernel link (I am using acpi.ko) correctly, I had to apply the following patches for i386. No testing done except making sure that acpi could be loaded successfully, and that powering off still does not work :-( (Win98 can successfully power off this machine using ACPI, btw.) Hope you find this useful. No guarantees about semantic correctness, I just wanted to be able to compile and load this beast.
