Not only would every committer be able to use these scripts, but this would also focus everyone's intellectual capabilities into ONE script (of a certain purpose) rather than splitting up the thought stream's target into various separate scripts. It seems the appropriate directory in the repository would be ports/Tools. Perhaps ports/Tools/commit/ or some other subdirectory.
