Yep.  That would be great!  Absolutely amazing :)

I know people are working on this.  I can't help, since I don't know
enough about the way GCC works, but let's be patient a bit.

I can still use my ports, compiled with gcc2 on a CURRENT machine that
runs gcc3.  No big worries yet.
