O.K.  it goes like this:

#mount -t cd9660 /dev/wcd0c /mnt
cd9660: /dev/wcd0c : Input/output error


note, this is the device assigned at boot up.
and... yes, I don't mount audio cd's   :-)
but I would appreciate you telling me if I did anything
else stupid.  Could it be timing out???
