I think you have your CD rom as mastr on second IDE controller. Just change it to slave and the HD in question to master. There will be no harm to your DOS, Win95 and NT installations. The CD drive will still work fine. Anoter topic: you will have to install another boot manager - it is provided in the FBSD CD disk 1, and it is called osbsx.exe; It is located at X:\tools you canb use the so called "osbsBETA", wich works fine, w/o any bugs for me. When you run those files they will give you instructions on how to perform installation. It is pretty simple and clean. One tip: Win95/DOS have to be in THE FIRST phisical disk in order to boot. It is an MS Unique feature (sorry for the sarcasm). WinNT will work fine in the 2nd disk, if this is the case, IF it was installed there at first. Never tried to boot NT from 3rd disk (any talers for this ???) The regular boot manager installed by FBSD will not be able to handle the boot of a third disk. when installing FBSD, instruct it NOT to install a boot manager. Install osbsX latter, aftyer installing Free. I hope it helps. At 08:42 PM 2/27/98 -0500, you wrote: >Hi, >I am trying to install freebsd on my Third hard drive. It is the secondary >slave.
