The only way to get it to turn of is to take the battery out while it's still running (not a pleasant thing to think about). I can still just `shutdown -h now` and turn off the power, but if I accidently push a button the damn thing locks up! I can't exactly remember when this started happening, the laptop has always been running at least 3.0-RELEASE.
