He's gone and it's over now, all but the thanking. On freebsd-newbies we've suffered this guy's antics for too long, but in doing so we've learned a lot about what it means to be part of a community. We discovered in each other a sense of membership and responsibility that won't be influenced by the occasional bad seed. Whether we gained that more quickly because of hard times, who knows. Thanks for taking time to deal with those difficult emails the way you did, and for retaining any cc: to -newbies in these unusual circumstances. If any silent subscribers did have any little doubts about the FreeBSD Project, I'm confident they have been set right now. Everything you do and say sets a consistently fine example and reassures us that we've come to the right place. While people like you take the lead, people like us look forward to becoming people like you. -- Regards, -*Sue*-
