It seem the api has changed a bit recently. Linux has an acpi_thinkpad module that supports the newer laptops but porting it is propably not so straightforward. I have a T420s myself and am happy to have the intel video working. Brightness control and GPU power savings are the most pressing parts still missing. But at least I don't have have to use the Vesa driver ;) Greetings Christian > > -- > View this message in context: http://freebsd.1045724.n5.nabble.com/Dual-video-card-notebook-no-X11-at-all-tp5723538p5726448.html > Sent from the freebsd-x11 mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > _______________________________________________ > freebsd-x11@freebsd.org mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-x11 > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-x11-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" > -- Christian Kratzer CK Software GmbH Email: ck@cksoft.de Wildberger Weg 24/2 Phone: +49 7032 893 997 - 0 D-71126 Gaeufelden Fax: +49 7032 893 997 - 9 HRB 245288, Amtsgericht Stuttgart Web: http://www.cksoft.de/ Geschaeftsfuehrer: Christian Kratzer
