It works fine in Win95, and fine in FreeBSD for the most part, other than some rather annoying error messages when trying to use it for various things. Any time I mount/umount a disk, change it, and do the same again (or even use mtools). You'll notice an error when probing the drive attached to aic0 and all the errors at the bottom (which occur when I try to use it after changing disks): Copyright (c) 1992-1998 FreeBSD Inc. Using ficticious geometry ...[many many more of these omitted].... Is this a problem with a firmware change (as I have been hearing about with the problems with the ppbus driver)? As you can tell from the output above, i'm running a very recent -STABLE system (kernel was compiled just recently, but the whole thing is no more than a week old). Other than these errors, everything seems to work prefectly. I can scsiformat(8) the disks, disklabel, newfs, mount and throw stuff on them and read it back, without problem. mtools can also read the FAT filesystem disks just fine. If someone tells me what they want me to look for, i can put SCSIDEBUG in the kernel and do some playing around, if that would be required. --- Chris Dillon --- cdillon@tri-lakes.net --- Powered by FreeBSD, the best operating system on the planet for Intel x86 based computers. ---- (http://www.freebsd.org)
