You should be able to use the PACKAGESITE variable to override the
contents of PKG_PATH and PACKAGEROOT.=20

export PACKAGESITE=3D"ftp://ftp2.au.FreeBSD.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/pack=
ages-4.4-stable/All/"
