Need a *supported* sound card with digital optical IO Message-ID: <976630954.3a3634aa5303b@demo.uk.horde.org> Date: Tue, 12 Dec 2000 14:22:34 +0000 (GMT) From: Chris Smith MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit User-Agent: IMP/PHP IMAP webmail program 2.2.4-cvs X-Originating-IP: 193.115.14.67 Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Hi, Can anyone recommend a suitable sound card which satisfies the following:- o It works o It works in FreeBSD-4.2 o The drivers don't cause panics. o It has optical/SP-DIF IO so I can poke it in the back of a MiniDisc unit. I have an SBLive Platinum, but the *experimental* drivers panic a bit too often for my liking (but they look good in the long run). I'd like to contribute to emu10k1 but my C code is too crappy. Any suggestions for the moment? Cheers, - Chris. ----------------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through the IMP demo site: demo.uk.horde.org Find out more at http://www.horde.org/imp/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
