I felt it was important to get 8.11.5 into FreeBSD 4.4 as it contained a couple of fixes that needed to get in (specifically for SIGHUP and IPv6). With the immediate MFC, the first post-code freeze release candidate will have the new version for testing. If there are any problems, they can be identified and fixed quickly. Also, 8.11.5 has been in testing for weeks before it's release so I feel confident that this was a safe course of action.
