"pccardc power ? 0" option of pccardc in PAO can power down the PCMCIA cards without removal, but it also disables the corresponding device drivers (it only emulates removal of PCMCIA cards), and it won't back to the active status without using "pccardc power ? 1" manually again. Better implementation is desired but I have no idea.
