I have an i386 running bsd4.9 and with KDE. I tried to do the following. xmodmap -e "keysym F5 = L5" #front xmodmap -e "keysym F6 = L6" #copy xmodmap -e "keysym F7 = L7" xmodmap -e "keysym F8 = L8" #paste after i add them to my .xinitrc these keys don't do anything.
