There are some undocumented kernel options in the LINT file you might try on your next recompile. Most notibly, I'd go for: options PNPBIOS I'd been thinking about trying that when last I had this problem, but since the BIOS setting fixed it I never got arround to verifying it. Give it a try and let me know.
