Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG I have several FreeBSD machines with their console on the serial ports. Currently, I use another machine as a console server, by login in and running tip on the appropriate serial port. Is there a way to have tip start automatically on the right serial port, on different virtual consoles ? I tried to replace the getty entries in /etc/ttys with a corresponding "tip cuaa0X" entry, but the program dies repeatedly.
