Message-ID: <20010619111333.D65613@msu.edu> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.2.5i Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG I recently installed FreeBSD 4.3-20010610-STABLE on a new box. SSH works OK unless I try using authorized_keys2 to allow SSH in without a password, in which case I get the error "fatal: PAM setcred failed[6] Permission denied". I've searched the FreeBSD mailing list archives, and it seems like this problem has been around a while. The best information on how to fix it I've found was to update /etc/pam.conf, except the version I have already has the prescribed fixes. Is there something I missed here, or is PAM&SSH just broken? -- Edward Glowacki glowack2@msu.edu Computer Laboratory, Technical Support Services Michigan State University To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
