I installed FreeBSD 3.1-RELEASE from different server (.de, .cz, gd.tuwien.ac.at, ftp.freebsd.org) but every time it failed. After installing distribution X-User (Basic without sources, X server (SVGA, VGA16, S3 and S3V) and fonts (fnts, f100 and fscl)) and rebooting the computer I run sysinstall and selected some packages. But when I try to install them, I get the error message "Warning: XFree86-3.3.3.1 is a required package but was not found." for each package who needs X. If I look into the directory /usr/X11R6/ everything seems to be fine. I searched at the homepage but didn't find anything that would help me. Any hints? Maybe it is only a missing symlink? thx andy To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
