But why pull it out of 3.0.1? Pretty radical change from 3.0.0 -> 3.0.1. Why not wait until after 3.0-STABLE and yank it from 3.1-CURRENT? This would give people some warning on our intentions. I assume you don't want to get into a long email discussion over things like this. So you could have just declared it dead in 3.1-CURRENT, peroid. Much of the other stuff you cleaned up was clearly broken, but this wasn't and I know people using it. Hell, NFS is partially broken. Why don't we yank it out?
