Howdy, InterBase 6.0 is now available for FreeBSD 4.x at http://www.sea-incorporated.com/pub/firebird-1.0.tgz. It can be added with 'pkg_add' just like any other FreeBSD package. It installs into /usr/local/interbase and makes the following symlinks: /usr/interbase -> /usr/local/interbase /usr/local/lib/libgds.so /usr/interbase/lib/gds.so /usr/local/lib/libgds_pyxis.a /usr/interbase/lib/gds_pyxis.a Only the classic version of the server is included in this package, the SuperServer (a threaded version) will be available later. This package has been built from the Firebird project source code. Please see http://sourceforge.net/projects/firebird/ if you wish to get involved in the development of InterBase 6.
