Hi,

What end point do you want? Do you want it to not be active or do you
want it not to be there at all?

The first is easy, just comment or remove local_unbound="yes" in
/etc/rc.conf and reboot.

The second is more difficult because it's part of the base system. The
suggestion of WITHOUT_UNBOUND removes all of unbound, not just
local_unbound functionality.
