That's almost certainly correct, but it notes:

   "Notes
   [1] This step is not required on FreeBSD 6.0 and later."

That's a general ntworking error.  We'd need to see your 
ifconfig(8)/netstat(8) -rn and rc.conf(5) network settings to figure 
that out.
