I assume booting a USB stick with Plop would work on the 2001 computer with FreeBSD as it did with NetBSD 4.0.1 and NetBSD-current. > > Due to insufficient RAM and insufficient disk space for the bigger packages/ports, I feel like I'm at the end of the line with FreeBSD, NetBSD too, on the 2001 computer; would need to build on my new computer. > > Tom > The dvd1.iso file is less than 700mb and would fit on a standard cd. But the point is you do not install from a .iso file. The .iso file is a compressed file and when you uncompress it it's way to large to fit on a standard cd but will fit on a dvd. Thats why its named dvd1.iso.
