On my FreeBSD-current system ee is part of the system sources: I'm not sure, but ee should reside on your system in: /usr/bin/ee The sources should be in /usr/src/usr.bin/ee Sure, you could make a symbolic link from /stand/ee to /usr/bin/ee... This would have the advantage, that you or your users don't need to change their command search paths in .profile, .cshrc or where ever depending on the kind of login shell they use...
