Not sure if this was the "correct" way to do it, but this is what i did. d/l from redhat.com those rpms. place them in /usr/compat/linux (i grabbed them from ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/updates/7.1/en/os/i386) run the following command rpm2cpio < glib.rpm > glib.cpio cpio -i -d -u < glib.cpio rpm2cpio is in ports if not installed. FYI: this will make some of the contents of the linux package invalid, so upgrading/deleting the package may give some errors. Also this has not been tested with other apps. i tested netscape and it still runs so that is good enough for me, but other things may not run. reborn should work semi ok after that (looping seem so have some problems), so enjoy your rave in a can experience. too bad Scream Tracker was never ported to *nix. :( To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-emulation" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-emulation Mon Aug 12 13: 1:22 2002 Delivered-To: freebsd-emulation@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.FreeBSD.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8642A37B405; Mon, 12 Aug 2002 13:01:08 -0700 (PDT) Received: from tomts9-srv.bellnexxia.net (tomts9.bellnexxia.net [209.226.175.53]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B43D343E42; Mon, 12 Aug 2002 13:01:05 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from hottymaria@gosympatico.ca) Received: from [209.226.175.136] by tomts9-srv.bellnexxia.net (InterMail vM.5.01.04.19 201-253-122-122-119-20020516) with SMTP id <20020812200119.KDYI12452.tomts9-srv.bellnexxia.net@[209.226.175.136]>; Mon, 12 Aug 2002 16:01:19 -0400 From: To: Subject: Hey, whats up? Someone else reported that bug for -CURRENT last March. However, there was only a small window of -CURRENT that had the bug, we did track down the commit what caused it but there was no obvious reason. (You can find the message in the freebsd-current@ archives, messages were send March 27) You probably want to upgrade to the latest -STABLE and rebuild the port, that might solve your problems. I don't have a -stable system around, so can't reproduce it now.
