Global in the kernel config, or in the isdnd.rc (or a sysctl)? The first seems quite easy, I don't know anything about the second. > You want cd->dst_telno I guess (that is local-phone-incoming, I don't see > a way to get at *-phone-dialout numbers on incoming calls), if it is not > empty. At the moment I use cd->dst_telno, but I thought about being able to transmit back a number different from the called one. But I think that's too complicated. I had to set up the nameserver manually, which didn't come to my mind at first (With SuSE, I think I receive a list of nameservers at dial-in and ipppd updates /etc/resolv.conf automatically. I did not have to set up any nameservers ever...), but now it works basically fine, I mean, dial-up works, the connection works, too. There is one problem, however, the connection does not seem to close automatically. The entries in /etc/isdn/isdnd.rc look like this: idletime-outgoing = 58 earlyhangup = 5 - From what I understand, this makes isdnd hangup after a) 58 seconds of inactivity or b) 5 seconds before the next charging unit begins. Does earlyhangup take care of the connection's activity? (I do think so...) I've waited longer than 60 seconds without any activity, still the interface seemingly did not hang up (after hangup, "ifconfig ippp0" should tell me something like "0.0.0.0 -> 0.0.0.1", right? Before I dial in, I get this). Or did it maybe hang up silently? If ifconfig doesn't tell me, I'd have to check syslog, right? kind regards and thanks in advance, Benjamin Walkenhorst - -- Benjamin Walkenhorst eMail: krylon@gmx.net homepage: http://www.krylon.de -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Public Key available at http://www.krylon.de iD8DBQE/SM7boYumWdMvhMQRArOLAJ4hXCgEAEPYosqRqnI0arlL+FL4MACeK61w f5WyKy6Tl3Ix6B5mC8ujc0g= =RFXy -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- From owner-freebsd-isdn@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Aug 29 14:51:21 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-isdn@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6F05516A4C0 for ; Fri, 29 Aug 2003 14:51:21 -0700 (PDT) Received: from strommasten.groessler.org (strommasten.groessler.org [213.133.97.36]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2754D43FDD for ; Fri, 29 Aug 2003 14:51:18 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from chris@groessler.org) Received: from strommasten.groessler.org.aladdin.de (localhost [127.0.0.1]) h7TLpCg20122; Fri, 29 Aug 2003 23:51:13 +0200 (CEST) Sender: chris@strommasten.groessler.org To: freebsd-isdn@freebsd.org From: Christian Groessler Date: 29 Aug 2003 23:51:10 +0200 Message-ID: <87he405e0h.fsf@strommasten.groessler.org> Lines: 29 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii cc: cpg@aladdin.de Subject: problems with 5.1R and Teles S0/16.3 (fwd) X-BeenThere: freebsd-isdn@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: Using ISDN with FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 29 Aug 2003 21:51:21 -0000 Hi, 2 problems: - I cannot use 0 or -1 as isdnchannel in isdnd.rc: I get the following error message: Aug 28 17:28:20 caligula isdnd[225]: ERR set_channel_busy: controller [0] invalid channel [-1]! - Connecting (dialing out & waiting for callback) doesn't work reliably. When it doesn't work I try many things (rebooting, restarting isdnd, restarting the MTBA) until it works, so I cannot say what fixes the problem.
