Write a driver? :) The device doesn't claim to conform to the USB mouse protocol, so you'll have to write something to interpret what its doing and react accordingly. On the plus side, HID devices have a limited set of functionality, so you could write some sort of hid-to-sysmouse proxy. USB HID has an idea of buttons and movement axes I think... been a while since I read that spec. -- Doug White | FreeBSD: The Power to Serve dwhite@gumbysoft.com | www.FreeBSD.org From owner-freebsd-mobile@FreeBSD.ORG Tue Mar 9 10:36:10 2004 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-mobile@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A53EA16A4CE for ; Tue, 9 Mar 2004 10:36:10 -0800 (PST) Received: from smtp.des.no (flood.des.no [217.116.83.31]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 68C8043D41 for ; Tue, 9 Mar 2004 10:36:10 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from des@des.no) Received: by smtp.des.no (Pony Express, from userid 666) id 82CB1530E; Tue, 9 Mar 2004 19:36:09 +0100 (CET) Received: from dwp.des.no (des.no [80.203.228.37]) by smtp.des.no (Pony Express) with ESMTP id 2DBE6530A; Tue, 9 Mar 2004 19:36:03 +0100 (CET) Received: by dwp.des.no (Postfix, from userid 2602) id 1083633CA4; Tue, 9 Mar 2004 19:36:03 +0100 (CET) To: Doug White References: <16461.62668.644898.596410@lark.auton.cs.cmu.edu> <20040309165948.47c85cae.csp@csperkins.org> <20040309100616.R69332@carver.gumbysoft.com> From: des@des.no (Dag-Erling =?iso-8859-1?q?Sm=F8rgrav?=) Date: Tue, 09 Mar 2004 19:36:03 +0100 In-Reply-To: <20040309100616.R69332@carver.gumbysoft.com> (Doug White's message of "Tue, 9 Mar 2004 10:08:11 -0800 (PST)") Message-ID: User-Agent: Gnus/5.090024 (Oort Gnus v0.24) Emacs/21.3 (berkeley-unix) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.63 (2004-01-11) on flood.des.no X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, hits=0.0 required=5.0 tests=AWL autolearn=no version=2.63 cc: Dan Pelleg cc: freebsd-mobile@freebsd.org Subject: Re: wireless USB presenter X-BeenThere: freebsd-mobile@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: Mobile computing with FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 09 Mar 2004 18:36:10 -0000 Doug White writes: > USB HID has an idea of buttons and movement axes I think... been a while > since I read that spec.
