I have been asked to develop a soultion which will ulitmately enable reliable and useful diffs obvious solution was for developers to 'dos2unix' the source files but this is not reliable (because our developers are not) second was to modify the cvs checkin routines to check the fie and dos2unix but this is a maintenance headache and not 100% reliable then i thought maybe we could let the user tell cvsweb diff to ignore the end-of-line (^M) that Windows inserts. is this a reasonable option and has this been considered? cheers, justin vanderTouw From owner-freebsd-cvsweb@FreeBSD.ORG Tue Mar 2 22:27:17 2004 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-cvsweb@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B4F8C16A4CE for ; Tue, 2 Mar 2004 22:27:17 -0800 (PST) Received: from mx1.valuelabs.net (unknown [203.199.183.231]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 3E00043D41 for ; Tue, 2 Mar 2004 22:27:16 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from haricharan@valuelabs.net) Received: (qmail 30032 invoked by uid 11189); 3 Mar 2004 06:29:17 -0000 Received: from haricharan@valuelabs.net by mx1.valuelabs.net by uid 500 with qmail-scanner-1.20 (clamuko: 0.65. spamassassin: 2.63.
