Last year was an enormously successful grass-roots style conference. It brought together a great mix of *BSD developers and users for a nice blend of both developer-centric and user-centric presentations, food, and activities. Based upon that accomplishment, planning for the next event began shortly thereafter. It is just 9 days until paper submissions close. Have you given any consideration to submitting a proposal? Details are at http://www.bsdcan.org/2005/papers.php If you want to hear a particular topic, let us know, we'll see if we can find someone to talk. cheers -- Dan Langille : http://www.langille.org/ BSDCan - The Technical BSD Conference - http://www.bsdcan.org/ From owner-freebsd-advocacy@FreeBSD.ORG Tue Jan 11 18:10:20 2005 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-advocacy@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 220C416A4CF for ; Tue, 11 Jan 2005 18:10:20 +0000 (GMT) Received: from bast.unixathome.org (bast.unixathome.org [66.11.174.150]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id C964543D2D for ; Tue, 11 Jan 2005 18:10:19 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from dan@langille.org) Received: from wocker (wocker.unixathome.org [192.168.0.99]) by bast.unixathome.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 338543D40 for ; Tue, 11 Jan 2005 13:10:19 -0500 (EST) From: "Dan Langille" To: freebsd-advocacy@freebsd.org Date: Tue, 11 Jan 2005 13:12:21 -0500 MIME-Version: 1.0 Message-ID: <41E3D0B5.20857.880DCE1D@localhost> Priority: normal X-mailer: Pegasus Mail for Windows (4.21c) Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT Content-description: Mail message body Subject: Ottawa : OCUUG meets this Thursday X-BeenThere: freebsd-advocacy@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: FreeBSD Evangelism List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 11 Jan 2005 18:10:20 -0000 Hi folks, On Thursday, 13 January, OCUUG meets at 6pm, Colonnade Pizza & Restaurant, 280 Metcalfe (at Gilmour). see http://www.ocuug.on.ca/) We don't have any particular topic to discuss.
