I had a script that started mimedefang then sendmail, using=20 mta_start_script=00=3D"/root/start_sendmail" in /etc/rc.conf. I removed that value after I received errors on reboot from sendmail unable to bind to various multi-homed addresses, apparently caused by sendmail starting up again. I tried adding the mimedefang lines to the /etc/rc.d/sendmail script in the sendmail_precmd()=00 section, but now I find it is starting mimedefang 2 times. This makes me think that the script is somehow being run a second time. Any suggestions? TIA Greg Himes Spec. Prod. Dir. I did a bunch of work but ran into problems with FreeBSD packages; for example: (1) cannot package screen utility (2) apache13+modssl + php4 combo must be built from ports (at least according to the googling I did). (3) having one box build packages gets tricky when you have a variety of apache + php combos. it was an excersize in combinatorics that I preferred to bypass. m From owner-freebsd-isp@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Feb 2 17:40:26 2006 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-isp@freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-isp@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 0B27216A422 for ; Thu, 2 Feb 2006 17:40:26 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from freebsd@henriklidstrom.se) Received: from pne-smtpout1-sn1.fre.skanova.net (pne-smtpout1-sn1.fre.skanova.net [81.228.11.98]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 1798F43D5A for ; Thu, 2 Feb 2006 17:40:24 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from freebsd@henriklidstrom.se) Received: from mailgw.henriklidstrom.se (83.250.79.110) by pne-smtpout1-sn1.fre.skanova.net (7.2.070) id 43E1BB7D00036E47; Thu, 2 Feb 2006 18:40:23 +0100 Received: from localhost (localhost.henriklidstrom.se [127.0.0.1]) by mailgw.henriklidstrom.se (Postfix) with ESMTP id C1386C114; Thu, 2 Feb 2006 18:40:22 +0100 (CET) Received: from mailgw.henriklidstrom.se ([127.0.0.1]) by localhost (mailgw.henriklidstrom.se [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id 83249-06; Thu, 2 Feb 2006 18:40:17 +0100 (CET) Received: from localhost (localhost.henriklidstrom.se [127.0.0.1]) by mailgw.henriklidstrom.se (Postfix) with ESMTP id ECCB9B8E0; Thu, 2 Feb 2006 18:40:16 +0100 (CET) Received: from gw.telecomputing.se (gw.telecomputing.se [84.17.192.7]) by mailgw.henriklidstrom.se (Horde MIME library) with HTTP; Thu, 02 Feb 2006 18:40:16 +0100 Message-ID: <20060202184016.ne8k5883iwwogcc4@mailgw.henriklidstrom.se> Date: Thu, 02 Feb 2006 18:40:16 +0100 From: Henrik =?iso-8859-1?b?TGlkc3Ry9m0=?= To: alex@rnp.br MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format="flowed" Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable User-Agent: Internet Messaging Program (IMP) H3 (4.0.4) / FreeBSD-6.0 X-Virus-Scanned: amavisd-new at henriklidstrom.se Cc: freebsd-isp@freebsd.org Subject: RE: About FreeBSD jails administration tools X-BeenThere: freebsd-isp@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Internet Services Providers List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 02 Feb 2006 17:40:26 -0000 > -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- > Fr=E5n: owner-freebsd-isp@freebsd.org > [mailto:owner-freebsd-isp@freebsd.org] F=F6r Alex Moura > Skickat: den 2 februari 2006 16:32 > Till: freebsd-isp@freebsd.org > =C4mne: About FreeBSD jails administration tools > > Hello, > > I'd like to know your suggestions, from who is already using or > already tried some of the tools listed below to deploy and manage > FreeBSD jails: > > Port: jailaudit-1.1 > Port: ezjail-1.1 > Port: jailadmin-1.8_2 > Port: jailctl-0.61 > Port: jailer-1.1.2 > Port: jailuser-1.9_1 > Port: jailutils-1.0 > Port: jkill-1.0 > Port: jps-1.0 > Port: jtop-1.0 > > I've already got a positive recommendation about ezjail, which I've > been testing and seems very useful. > > > Best regards, > > Alex > _______________________________________________ > freebsd-isp@freebsd.org mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-isp > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-isp-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" > My favorite is JailTools: http://www.the-labs.com/FreeBSD/JailTools/ /Henrik From owner-freebsd-isp@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Feb 2 18:09:31 2006 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-isp@freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-isp@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6642816A420 for ; Thu, 2 Feb 2006 18:09:31 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from lists@complx.LF.net) Received: from complx.LF.net (complx.LF.net [212.9.190.63]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 123EA43D48 for ; Thu, 2 Feb 2006 18:09:31 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from lists@complx.LF.net) Received: from lists by complx.LF.net with local (Exim 4.43) id 1F4ite-000Pwl-09 for freebsd-isp@freebsd.org; Thu, 02 Feb 2006 19:09:30 +0100 Date: Thu, 2 Feb 2006 19:09:29 +0100 From: Kurt Jaeger To: freebsd-isp@freebsd.org Message-ID: <20060202180929.GY1429@complx.LF.net> References: <43E225D6.7000506@rnp.br> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <43E225D6.7000506@rnp.br> Subject: Re: About FreeBSD jails administration tools X-BeenThere: freebsd-isp@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Internet Services Providers List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 02 Feb 2006 18:09:31 -0000 Hi!
