These represent problem reports covering all versions including experimental development code and obsolete releases. Bugs can be in one of several states: o - open A problem report has been submitted, no sanity checking performed. a - analyzed The problem is understood and a solution is being sought. f - feedback Further work requires additional information from the originator or the community - possibly confirmation of the effectiveness of a proposed solution. p - patched A patch has been committed, but some issues (MFC and / or confirmation from originator) are still open. r - repocopy The resolution of the problem report is dependent on a repocopy operation within the CVS repository which is awaiting completion. s - suspended The problem is not being worked on, due to lack of information or resources. This is a prime candidate for somebody who is looking for a project to do. If the problem cannot be solved at all, it will be closed, rather than suspended. c - closed A problem report is closed when any changes have been integrated, documented, and tested -- or when fixing the problem is abandoned. First I wish to apologize for the strange message yesterday but I joined the mailing list now :D Anyway, I would like to contribute to the documentation project by translation to Swedish. I am from Sweden so the translation isn't that big problem. I have a number of questions though. As far as I can see there are no documents in Swedish for FreeBSD. This is rather funny since in the "FreeBSD Documentation Project Primer for New Contributors" there are some examples on naming of the translation and they are sv_SE.ISO8859-1 (Swedish with the normal encoding). I wonder if it really is noone who translates to Swedish? If there is someone I wonder if I can help. I don't mind working alone, but it would be very nice if someone else was working too! If it is the case I will be working alone I wonder if there is anything else needed to know than what is stated in "FreeBSD Documentation Project Primer for New Contributors" (http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/fdp-primer/index.html)? Just making sure I haven't missed any important documentation. Also I wonder if I should start getting Unicode support and use Unicode from the beginning instead of ISO8859-1 (then I assume the name of the project is sv_SE.UTF-8)? -- Anders Andersson anand@dtek.chalmers.se From owner-freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Mar 29 04:37:48 2007 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [69.147.83.52]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id EB22216A402 for ; Thu, 29 Mar 2007 04:37:48 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from john.pleasanton@gmail.com) Received: from py-out-1112.google.com (py-out-1112.google.com [64.233.166.177]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id AA83513C46C for ; Thu, 29 Mar 2007 04:37:48 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from john.pleasanton@gmail.com) Received: by py-out-1112.google.com with SMTP id f47so33493pye for ; Wed, 28 Mar 2007 21:37:48 -0700 (PDT) DKIM-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=beta; h=domainkey-signature:received:received:message-id:date:from:to:subject:in-reply-to:mime-version:content-type:references; b=ZCJElSPeSo9Jb55FNnxLIf6QsB3vXdUEZ4bt32T9/BOnR6CLdvsrYQ4SxVwmuJnl9rfYketJbMXchfFA/pwPyW8yS/hIg8xUeLF4jgrEIR0B8AD2/hO+mRYUbCaQauZcu5NFHWyFWscgtwKhqnDbLOntAe05o9/xc9RC+w+awjY= DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=nofws; d=gmail.com; s=beta; h=received:message-id:date:from:to:subject:in-reply-to:mime-version:content-type:references; b=lKIBqskei8kh50u+/Kdi8g9NikOS4HbhNAJsrlIYG1WWkjew16OjpWR9M5PbhPhv3ts18QuU5rqIEat0hcXEpaBINlwAUv710YoIblIILzSdoleAbKfBRDgEfZFDtOW2GdAvat+B/Lxljml3ITeoJFSNkeQLWHY1LpVhp4SaSMI= Received: by 10.35.81.1 with SMTP id i1mr409095pyl.1175141543135; Wed, 28 Mar 2007 21:12:23 -0700 (PDT) Received: by 10.35.60.13 with HTTP; Wed, 28 Mar 2007 21:12:23 -0700 (PDT) Message-ID: Date: Wed, 28 Mar 2007 21:12:23 -0700 From: "John Huang" To: "Wolfram Schneider" , freebsd-doc@freebsd.org In-Reply-To: MIME-Version: 1.0 References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.5 Cc: Subject: Re: regarding http://www.freebsd.org/ X-BeenThere: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Documentation project List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 29 Mar 2007 04:37:49 -0000 Hi Wolfram, Thanks for your reply.
