We covered a lot of topics, shared information about current projects, and even managed to get some documentation PRs closed! I want to thank everyone who participated and provided ideas, feedback, or even questions. The notes we took during the session are available at the following URL: http://people.freebsd.org/~bcr/doc/sprints/20110606-final.html While this has been a test run for these kinds of sprints, we definitely want to build on it, continue the discussion and get some work done to improve FreeBSD's documentation as a whole. To that end, we agreed that we want to have another documentation sprint that involves more people in different timezones so that they can participate, too. We will provide further information once we found a suitable date/time. If you have any questions to any of the items in the results or want to help, contact either the current assignee (if given) or write me a short mail. Looking forward to more productive sprints... I must admit that I was a little surprised to see the man page be so explicit in saying that no other keywords were accepted, and yet the rcorder(8) code accepts them happily. I wasn't happy with the patch submitted in the PR for a number of reasons, but I felt that my rewording made it clear that these were accepted only historically, and therefore not suggested for use in new scripts. I tried to get the balance correct between documenting behaviour, and discouraging the use of deprecated features. I'm happy to revert this if you think these should remain deliberately undocumented. This URL is broken due to the May 2011 purchase of Atheros by Qualcomm. The new URL that appears to be similar is: http://www.qca.qualcomm.com/technology/technology.php?nav1=47 Note that the old URL also appears to be in the man page for ath(4) Unfortunately the new URL does not seem to be a database lookup of which atheros chips are in aftermarket cards, so the supported WiFi list is now very lacking, as an end user cannot pull the model number of a PCMCIA wireless card and look it up in their database to see if it contains an Atheros chip. I did a bit of research and for what it's worth the D-Link DWA-552 and DWA-556 contain the Atheros 5416 and 5418 chips, respectively. I don't know if they work with this driver. >How-To-Repeat: >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted:
