Having followed the advice in UPDATING, the dependency on libiconv is now a problem i.e. the linker bombs out because it can't find libiconv.so.3 -- is there any way to rectify this? Is the implementation in libc binary compatible with the implementation in libiconv? This is blocking a number of ports, it seems. Do you have any advice on fixing it? Thanks in advance -- Conor. I just built a completely clean GNOME 2 set on 10-PRE and it built without errors. libxslt is not linked to libiconv at all. What errors did you get building things? What options are you using? Have you tried rebuilding gettext first? This is where the dependency came from, and not libxslt and I've subsequently fixed that, also. I feel very silly now. My apologies for the spam.
