Changing to 12 dis not resolve the problem. CHaning to channel 4 did. Note that the scan only shows 4 SSIDs even though a scan reveals nine in range, and the real problem could be a failure to allow sufficient channels to be viewable after the scan. >How-To-Repeat: Try to install on network where AP is on channel 13 (or there are more than 4 APs before the channel of the AP you want). >Fix: During install, all channels should be allowed, not just those permitted in the most restrictive jurisdictions, and the maximum number of APs/SSIDs displayed probably needs to exceed 12. >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: From owner-freebsd-i386@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Oct 3 11:50:00 2013 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-i386@smarthost.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [8.8.178.115]) (using TLSv1 with cipher ADH-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id D65474ED for ; Thu, 3 Oct 2013 11:50:00 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from gnats@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206c::16:87]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 9D4942C75 for ; Thu, 3 Oct 2013 11:50:00 +0000 (UTC) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.7/8.14.7) with ESMTP id r93Bo0Ca090862 for ; Thu, 3 Oct 2013 11:50:00 GMT (envelope-from gnats@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from gnats@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.7/8.14.7/Submit) id r93Bo0R6090861; Thu, 3 Oct 2013 11:50:00 GMT (envelope-from gnats) Resent-Date: Thu, 3 Oct 2013 11:50:00 GMT Resent-Message-Id: <201310031150.r93Bo0R6090861@freefall.freebsd.org> Resent-From: FreeBSD-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org (GNATS Filer) Resent-To: freebsd-i386@FreeBSD.org Resent-Reply-To: FreeBSD-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org, Andrew Grillet Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) (using TLSv1 with cipher ADH-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8CA1CF6 for ; Thu, 3 Oct 2013 11:43:36 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from nobody@FreeBSD.org) Received: from oldred.freebsd.org (oldred.freebsd.org [8.8.178.121]) (using TLSv1 with cipher DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 7A71C2C12 for ; Thu, 3 Oct 2013 11:43:36 +0000 (UTC) Received: from oldred.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.6]) by oldred.freebsd.org (8.14.5/8.14.7) with ESMTP id r93BhaxG003472 for ; Thu, 3 Oct 2013 11:43:36 GMT (envelope-from nobody@oldred.freebsd.org) Received: (from nobody@localhost) by oldred.freebsd.org (8.14.5/8.14.5/Submit) id r93BhaKw003469; Thu, 3 Oct 2013 11:43:36 GMT (envelope-from nobody) Message-Id: <201310031143.r93BhaKw003469@oldred.freebsd.org> Date: Thu, 3 Oct 2013 11:43:36 GMT From: Andrew Grillet To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org X-Send-Pr-Version: www-3.1 Subject: i386/182601: Cant exit Network configuration X-BeenThere: freebsd-i386@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.14 Precedence: list List-Id: I386-specific issues for FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 03 Oct 2013 11:50:00 -0000 >Number: 182601 >Category: i386 >Synopsis: Cant exit Network configuration >Confidential: no >Severity: non-critical >Priority: low >Responsible: freebsd-i386 >State: open >Quarter: >Keywords: >Date-Required: >Class: sw-bug >Submitter-Id: current-users >Arrival-Date: Thu Oct 03 11:50:00 UTC 2013 >Closed-Date: >Last-Modified: >Originator: Andrew Grillet >Release: Release 9.2 >Organization: >Environment: N/A >Description: Doing install from Boot-only CD: Network configuration screen - I have ral0 sk0 prlip0 I have configured the ral0, and dont wish to configure the others.
