There are other (older) cases visible with Google showing the same problem, for example: https://forums-web2.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1025000.html saying that the dir ..../Gallery/arrows/ only contains two empty files with the names arrows.sdv and arrows.thm. The files are not part of the tar file in /usr/ports/distfiles.... so they are perhaps generated wrong on the run. What is the best way with poudriere(!) to nail this down, because poudriere cleans the workspace? I will give it a try with # poudriere bulk -j freebsd-head -p ports-20151208 -w editors/libreoffice There is also the flag -i for poudriere, but I have never used this before. Is there any guiding doc how to debug failing ports in poudriere? That allows me to tweak things inside the jail and rerun make or try other commands to quickly see the result. In your case the command would be: poudriere testport -j freebsd-head -p ports-20151208 -i -o editors/libreoffice From owner-freebsd-office@freebsd.org Mon Dec 14 05:59:58 2015 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-office@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9E851A4355F for ; Mon, 14 Dec 2015 05:59:58 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from guru@unixarea.de) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 841D51EFC for ; Mon, 14 Dec 2015 05:59:58 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from guru@unixarea.de) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 832ADA4355D; Mon, 14 Dec 2015 05:59:58 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: office@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 68B78A4355C; Mon, 14 Dec 2015 05:59:58 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from guru@unixarea.de) Received: from ms-10.1blu.de (ms-10.1blu.de [178.254.4.101]) (using TLSv1 with cipher AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 2E06C1EFB; Mon, 14 Dec 2015 05:59:57 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from guru@unixarea.de) Received: from [93.104.12.110] (helo=localhost.unixarea.de) by ms-10.1blu.de with esmtpsa (TLS1.0:DHE_RSA_AES_256_CBC_SHA1:32) (Exim 4.76) (envelope-from ) id 1a8MAq-0002fi-SX; Mon, 14 Dec 2015 06:59:53 +0100 Received: from localhost.my.domain (c720-r285885-amd64 [127.0.0.1]) by localhost.unixarea.de (8.15.2/8.14.9) with ESMTPS id tBE5xo2X003275 (version=TLSv1.2 cipher=DHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 bits=256 verify=NO); Mon, 14 Dec 2015 06:59:50 +0100 (CET) (envelope-from guru@unixarea.de) Received: (from guru@localhost) by localhost.my.domain (8.15.2/8.14.9/Submit) id tBE5xn6U003274; Mon, 14 Dec 2015 06:59:49 +0100 (CET) (envelope-from guru@unixarea.de) X-Authentication-Warning: localhost.my.domain: guru set sender to guru@unixarea.de using -f Date: Mon, 14 Dec 2015 06:59:48 +0100 From: Matthias Apitz To: Don Lewis Cc: office@FreeBSD.org, freebsd-ports@freebsd.org Subject: Re: [Bug 205242] editors/libreoffice (5.0.3, r403255) does not build in poudriere on 11.0-CURRENT r276659 Message-ID: <20151214055948.GA3238@c720-r285885-amd64> Reply-To: Matthias Apitz Mail-Followup-To: Matthias Apitz , Don Lewis , office@FreeBSD.org, freebsd-ports@freebsd.org References: <20151213162000.GA3775@c720-r285885-amd64> <201512132310.tBDNAR8C077879@gw.catspoiler.org> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit In-Reply-To: <201512132310.tBDNAR8C077879@gw.catspoiler.org> X-Operating-System: FreeBSD 11.0-CURRENT r285885 (amd64) User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.23 (2014-03-12) X-Con-Id: 51246 X-Con-U: 0-guru X-Originating-IP: 93.104.12.110 X-BeenThere: freebsd-office@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.20 Precedence: list List-Id: Office applications on FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Mon, 14 Dec 2015 05:59:58 -0000 El día Sunday, December 13, 2015 a las 03:10:27PM -0800, Don Lewis escribió: > >> The port build in poudriere stops at the end after many hours with: > >> > >> [build LNK] StaticLibrary/libvclmain.a > >> [build LNK] Executable/gengal.bin > >> [build GAL] arrows > >> Work on gallery > >> 'file:///wrkdirs/usr/ports/editors/libreoffice/work/libreoffice-5.0.3.2/workdir/Gallery/arrows' > >> Existing themes: 0 > >> Existing themes: 1 > >> Failed to acquire theme > >> /wrkdirs/usr/ports/editors/libreoffice/work/libreoffice-5.0.3.2/solenv/gbuild/Gallery.mk:72: > >> recipe for target > >> '/wrkdirs/usr/ports/editors/libreoffice/work/libreoffice-5.0.3.2/workdir/Gallery/arrows.done' > >> failed > >> ... > > > > There are other (older) cases visible with Google showing the same > > problem, for example: > > https://forums-web2.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1025000.html > > saying that the dir ..../Gallery/arrows/ only contains two empty files > > with the names arrows.sdv and arrows.thm. I have the following idea: 1. start poudriere testport ... 2. kill any process when the build phase has started to get the build failing and the shell of the jail; 3. from outside un-tar the saved workspace to overlay the actual workspace; 4. dig into the part failing; I think even a 'gmake' from top should stop in the place in question; at least I should be able to re-run this 'gengal.bin' binary and see why the files are coming out as zero size; Will this work? matthias -- Matthias Apitz, ✉ guru@unixarea.de, 🌐 http://www.unixarea.de/ ☎ +49-176-38902045 From owner-freebsd-office@freebsd.org Tue Dec 15 22:32:07 2015 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-office@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2734CA48860 for ; Tue, 15 Dec 2015 22:32:07 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from mikej@mikej.com) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 0ACB51835 for ; Tue, 15 Dec 2015 22:32:07 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from mikej@mikej.com) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 085F3A4885C; Tue, 15 Dec 2015 22:32:07 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: office@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 07B92A4885B; Tue, 15 Dec 2015 22:32:07 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from mikej@mikej.com) Received: from mx2.paymentallianceintl.com (mx2.paymentallianceintl.com [216.26.158.171]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client CN "mx2.paymentallianceintl.com", Issuer "Go Daddy Secure Certification Authority" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id C370C1834; Tue, 15 Dec 2015 22:32:06 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from mikej@mikej.com) Received: from firewall.mikej.com (162-230-214-65.lightspeed.lsvlky.sbcglobal.net [162.230.214.65]) by mx2.paymentallianceintl.com (8.15.1/8.15.1) with ESMTPS id tBFMVvbP020591 (version=TLSv1.2 cipher=DHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 bits=256 verify=OK); Tue, 15 Dec 2015 17:31:57 -0500 (EST) (envelope-from mikej@mikej.com) X-Authentication-Warning: mx2.paymentallianceintl.com: Host 162-230-214-65.lightspeed.lsvlky.sbcglobal.net [162.230.214.65] claimed to be firewall.mikej.com Received: from mail.mikej.com (firewall.mikej.com [192.168.6.63]) by firewall.mikej.com (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id tBFMVdZf084446; Tue, 15 Dec 2015 17:31:40 -0500 (EST) (envelope-from mikej@mikej.com) DKIM-Filter: OpenDKIM Filter v2.10.3 firewall.mikej.com tBFMVdZf084446 DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=mikej.com; s=mail; t=1450218701; bh=/EQbjJdEr1y16G5Dfwi8mvftHO8R6Cw2Q4uYSeyDfmo=; h=Date:From:To:Cc:Subject:In-Reply-To:References; b=GzkVdGhyWmeKw5G91+cYeOfpmZOd65G5Ip7qh7k0TMBbuWE3AH5zwhn13vDraoeW7 YGmyNFce3qmC7MU1ACLvxvV9KZdab6Qx69pTNeMENTBsIm8Msu8o6+hgdApVjiIU5h nGb592EYeebc6j8MkM7qDBjko0UvsIKb+6mha3+zG3+ceSdcUFcbwOuDTOyUuZrYgy laQJl9tNAzXlCTrkIKaoHNmwIS/GXTFgEPiKiohYaAMASPlYtuxmDir/4s3mCo4xes /GIuJTfa1moRqqL+vwas84gXG0XmKTXuUCZ7k1CEnX+2bVDDd4i8PYZvwhCDyyHlzT +PT4lRQ0WRtzQ== X-Authentication-Warning: firewall.mikej.com: Host firewall.mikej.com [192.168.6.63] claimed to be mail.mikej.com MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Date: Tue, 15 Dec 2015 17:31:39 -0500 From: Michael Jung To: Matthias Apitz , Don Lewis , office@freebsd.org, freebsd-ports@freebsd.org Cc: owner-freebsd-ports@freebsd.org Subject: Re: [Bug 205242] editors/libreoffice (5.0.3, r403255) does not build in poudriere on 11.0-CURRENT r276659 In-Reply-To: <20151215140201.GA3931@c720-r285885-amd64> References: <20151213162000.GA3775@c720-r285885-amd64> <201512132310.tBDNAR8C077879@gw.catspoiler.org> <20151214055948.GA3238@c720-r285885-amd64> <20151215140201.GA3931@c720-r285885-amd64> Message-ID: <53de624936d92c8cfe00f12bdb55667a@mail.mikej.com> X-Sender: mikej@mikej.com User-Agent: Roundcube Webmail/1.1.3 X-BeenThere: freebsd-office@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.20 Precedence: list List-Id: Office applications on FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 15 Dec 2015 22:32:07 -0000 On 2015-12-15 09:02, Matthias Apitz wrote: > El día Monday, December 14, 2015 a las 06:59:48AM +0100, Matthias > Apitz escribió: > >> > > There are other (older) cases visible with Google showing the same >> > > problem, for example: >> > > https://forums-web2.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1025000.html >> > > saying that the dir ..../Gallery/arrows/ only contains two empty files >> > > with the names arrows.sdv and arrows.thm.
