The main attraction of graphite-api is that setting up graphite for use in dashboards like grafana.org becomes much more simple. There is no state, sql dependencies, or django user database to set up & configure anymore. I will probably add a daemon for graphite-api soon once I have some further documentation & testing completed. Well, I didn't want to inconvenience anybody running some older version of FreeBSD, which is why I submitted this patch as-is upstream. But I'm also just fine with deleting the whole #ifdef block, or for that ma= tter the whole code part for the workaround. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-python@freebsd.org Fri Apr 22 07:35:14 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-python@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 045F3B18B71 for ; Fri, 22 Apr 2016 07:35:14 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id E2B751E0F for ; Fri, 22 Apr 2016 07:35:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id DE535B18B70; Fri, 22 Apr 2016 07:35:13 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: python@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id DDEEFB18B6F for ; Fri, 22 Apr 2016 07:35:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id CE2131E0E for ; Fri, 22 Apr 2016 07:35:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u3M7ZDJA057598 for ; Fri, 22 Apr 2016 07:35:13 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: python@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 208486] lang/python27 lang/python33 lang/python34 lang/python35: correct __FreeBSD_version check for ctype UTF-8 bug workaround Date: Fri, 22 Apr 2016 07:35:13 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Ports & Packages X-Bugzilla-Component: Individual Port(s) X-Bugzilla-Version: Latest X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Many People X-Bugzilla-Who: mat@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: python@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: maintainer-feedback? But for the ports tree, we only support building on 9.3, 10.1, 1= 0.2, 10.3 and head, and no one can really use a release before 9.3 (or 9.somethi= ng at least) because of infrastructure changes so it's not necessary. Anyway, if you are certain nothing will break with this, it can be committed as-is, if you are not sure and things might break, just add the exp-run flag (at the top click on "more flags") it only takes a day or so. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-python@freebsd.org Fri Apr 22 19:24:29 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-python@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id BF97DB19AC8 for ; Fri, 22 Apr 2016 19:24:29 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (unknown [127.0.1.3]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A9C6617CA for ; Fri, 22 Apr 2016 19:24:29 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id A5AB7B19AC6; Fri, 22 Apr 2016 19:24:29 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: python@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A30E6B19AC5 for ; Fri, 22 Apr 2016 19:24:29 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 887CD17C9 for ; Fri, 22 Apr 2016 19:24:29 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u3MJOTll010196 for ; Fri, 22 Apr 2016 19:24:29 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: python@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 208486] lang/python27 lang/python33 lang/python34 lang/python35: correct __FreeBSD_version check for ctype UTF-8 bug workaround Date: Fri, 22 Apr 2016 19:24:29 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Ports & Packages X-Bugzilla-Component: Individual Port(s) X-Bugzilla-Version: Latest X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Many People X-Bugzilla-Who: dim@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: python@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: maintainer-feedback? It is still used by 9 ports... I am working on an update to multimedia/quodlibet in PR208988, and it gives the warning "PYDISTUTILS_INSTALLNOSINGLE is deprecated, please do not use it anymore". However, if I remove that line from the Makefile, the build fails with "error: option --single-version-externally-managednot recognized". --single-version-externally-managed is added by USES=python if you dont set PYDISTUTILS_INSTALLNOSINGLE=yes.
