1: Has any one successfully managed to get .nsv(a newer winamp video
stream to play)? Xine has it listed as working, but I've not had any
luck with it. And it was backed out of mplayer when it was found the
code for it came from a leaked source...

2: Any one else have massive problems getting the mplayer port to
compile? I updated my portstree today with out any luck... the
following is what I get when I do a make in
/usr/ports/multimedia/ffmpeg...

fennec# make
You can disable liba52 support by defining WITHOUT_LIBA52

Define WITHOUT_MMX if your system does not support MMX

You can enable additional compilation optimizations
by defining WITH_OPTIMIZED_CFLAGS

You can disable vhook support by defining WITHOUT_VHOOK

If you want to capture from a bktr(4) supported card
you will probably need to set the input device and format
You can set WITH_BKTR_FORMAT to NTSC or PAL and you can set
WITH_BKTR_DEV to 0, 1, 2 or 3 (1 is usually the tuner)
so for a PAL tuner make WITH_BKTR_FORMAT=PAL WITH_BKTR_DEV=1

Warning: invalid settings will probably dump cores

I get the same thing on both machines... the first one is running
4stable and the second is running 5.2.1...
