Here is the interessant part : #NO_CVS= true # do not build CVS #NO_BIND= true # do not build BIND [...] #NOSHARE= true # do not go into the share subdir #NOUUCP= true # do not build uucp related programs But it appears to mainly apply to third-party software. There is no kind of "binutils" or "fileutils" package in BSD : all these tools are part of the base system and cannot be removed easily, since there maybe other parts which rely on them.
