I just put in a wireless NIC and setup the box to bridge my internal network with the 802.11g. This added an ath0 device plus bridge0. I now have: ath0: flags=8943 mtu 2290 inet6 xxx%ath0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x1 inet6 xxx prefixlen 64 inet6 xxx prefixlen 64 anycast ether 00:11:95:c4:3c:aa media: IEEE 802.11 Wireless Ethernet autoselect mode 11g status: associated ssid McNeil channel 9 bssid 00:11:95:c4:3c:aa authmode WPA privacy MIXED deftxkey 3 TKIP 2:128-bit TKIP 3:128-bit txpowmax 36 bmiss 7 protmode CTS burst dtimperiod 1 bintval 100 fwe0: flags=108943 mtu 1500 options=8 inet6 xxx%fwe0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x2 ether 02:11:06:00:75:68 ch 1 dma 0 dc0: flags=8843 mtu 1500 options=8 inet6 xxx%dc0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x3 inet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx netmask 0xfffffffc broadcast xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx inet 192.168.1.254 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255 inet6 xxx prefixlen 64 inet6 xxx prefixlen 64 anycast ether 00:03:6d:1a:b1:9b media: Ethernet autoselect (100baseTX ) status: active sk0: flags=8943 mtu 1500 options=8 inet6 xxx prefixlen 64 anycast inet6 xxx%sk0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x4 inet6 xxx prefixlen 64 ether 00:14:85:85:27:b3 media: Ethernet autoselect (1000baseTX ) status: active lo0: flags=8049 mtu 16384 inet6 ::1 prefixlen 128 inet6 fe80::1%lo0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x5 inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000 bridge0: flags=8843 mtu 1500 inet 10.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000 broadcast 10.255.255.255 ether e6:72:7c:ad:4c:26 priority 32768 hellotime 2 fwddelay 15 maxage 20 member: ath0 flags=3 member: sk0 flags=3 stf0: flags=1 mtu 1280 inet6 2002:18c7:2d36::1 prefixlen 16 The net monitor applet will show all the devices and shows an error if I select ath0 or sk0, but netspeed has the device selection disabled and only shows ath0.
