This sort of noise gets in the way when you're grepping for some change, or even just trying to eyeball them in a pager. This is a functional issue, not a "stuffiness" issue. I've suggested before that we have a LIST: option in the commit template for stuff that goes to the list and is not put in the logs so people can talk to the list if they want. A side note on humour; "tuna fish" is an english language pun whereas I suspect the above quote means nothing to a large percentage of the user base.
