All of these versions produce the same error. When= I=20 plug the nic in, I receive a message saying: pccardd[48]: Card D blah blah [(null)] [(null)] wi0 at port 0x240-0x27f irq 11 slot 0 on pccard0 wi0: mac read failed 5 device_probe_and_attach: wi0 attach returned 5 pccardd[48]: driver allocation failed for blah: Input/output error Now, I've tried disabling all sorts of stuff in the kernel to free up IRQ= 's,=20 I've set the IRQ within /etc/rc.conf to various different values that I k= now=20 should be available and everytime I receive the same message or variation= s on=20 the same message. This card is the version that supports 128-bit WEP so I think it's prism = 2.5=20 based. I can boot into win98 (on the same laptop) and use the card perfec= tly=20 fine. in win98 it uses IRQ 15 and if I recall it was using a memory range= =20 between 1000-100f or something like that. ( i could be wrong on the last=20 value) I was thinking there might be a memory conflict so I've tried changing th= ose=20 settings, but i'm not really sure what I should be trying with those. If anyone has any ideas on how to make this work, PLEASE let me know.. it= 's=20 driving me nuts that I can't make this work yet.
