Where? Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Hey all, this is probably a bit off topic, but: I have just discovered that the reason my plug-n-pray modem would not work with FreeBSD is that it's a win modem. I didn't know this before... I wouldn't have bought it if I had... but it seems that people just arn't marking WINMODEM on the boxes in big bold type anymore. At any rate, I say: take thyself to onsale.com and find a new modem. To my surprise, there is not a SINGLE NON-WIN MODEM THERE! So, now to my question: Can anyone suguest a good manufacturer or re-seller of non-win modems? I can't believe that there arn't SOME moral modem makers out there! -- Josh Emmons ... j-emmons@sjca.edu ``My universe isn't any smaller.''
