(see blow for details) The hardware I am using has got a correctly installed 3.5-RELEASE installed on a separate Hard Disk, installed from the same floppies. The only difference being that the successfully installed 3.5 is on a quantum 4.3 GB disk while I was using a 6.4GB Maxtor when it failed. (I wanted a second installation so that I could play around with some hardware. The only hard disks I have are the two I am trying to use.) Any other information useful just ask. I have a cp.core file I should be able to get if this helps. TIA Roger Bacon Using the minimal install and looking at VTY1 output I get DHCPDISCOVER on ed1 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 3 DHCPOFFER from 192.168.0.1 DHCPREQUEST on ed1 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 DHCPACK from 192.168.0.1 /sbin/dhclient-script: /bin/hostname: not found New IP Address(ed1): 192.168.0.6 New Subnet Mask(ed1): 255.255.255.0 New Broadcast Address(ed1): 192.168.0.255 New Routers: 192.168.0.1 bound to 192.168.0.6 -- renewal in 172800 seconds.
