hello all, dmesg prints the following lines: pcm0: <ESS Technology Maestro3> port 0xdc00-0xdcff mem 0xf6ffe000-0xf6ffffff irq 5 at device 3.0 on pci2 pcm0: failed: rid 0x10 is ioport, requested 3 pcm0: <SigmaTel STAC9721/23 AC97 Codec> the machine is an old laptop: Dell Inspiron 8000. Can you explain this a bit more, please? is it only a warning, or an error? the card seems to work fine. thanks in advance raoul rmgls@wanadoo.fr
