(If I could find a way to convert from .cd[ar] to low-res .au (for example) I'd do that instead of trying to record via the SB16. sox and tosha and 1 or few other utilities didn't do it for me.) When I "play" a CD the sound comes out of the speakers attached to the SB16. When I boot the kernel I get: ... sb0 at 0x220 irq 7 drq 1 on isa sb0: sbxvi0 at 0x0 drq 5 on isa sbxvi0: sbmidi0 at 0x300 on isa opl0 at 0x388 on isa opl0: changing root device to sd0a Intel Pentium F00F detected, installing workaround PCM device 1 not installed. What am I missing that PCM device 1 isn't being installed? Do I care? Thanks... H To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
